Lyon are expected to line up in their usual 4-2-3-1, with a double pivot of Tolisso and Tessmann shielding the back four. The wide threat is real — Duranville and Kluivert on the flanks, both with pace to burn and the ability to cut inside onto their stronger foot. Boudache leads the line, and he's the kind of striker who thrives on half-chances. This is a side built to dominate possession and then hit you with quick, vertical passes through the lines.

Toulouse will likely sit in a 4-3-3, but don't expect them to press high for 90 minutes. They'll drop into a mid-block, stay compact between the lines, and look to spring on the counter. Their wide forwards will tuck in to deny Lyon space in the half-spaces, and they'll try to force play wide, where they can double up on Duranville and Kluivert. The midfield three will have to work tirelessly to close down Tolisso and Tessmann — if they give those two time on the ball, Lyon will pick them apart.

The key battle is in that central corridor. Toulouse's midfield three against Lyon's double pivot plus Morton. If Lyon win that, they control the tempo and the game. If Toulouse can disrupt and turn it into a scrap, they've got a chance. But Lyon's quality in possession, especially with Maitland-Niles and Clinton Mata providing width from full-back, should stretch Toulouse and create gaps in behind.
